Dr. Steve Windels
Dr. Steve Windels is an award-winning wildlife biologist who has spent his career studying beavers, wolves, moose, and their ecosystems — and now brings that scientific perspective to the comedy stage. Combining real field experience with sharp observational humor, he’s proof that even having a PhD doesn’t stop you from attention-seeking behaviors.

Dr. Jesse Jacobs
Jesse Jacobs is a Minneapolis based comedian. Whether pointing out the absurdities of everyday life, relationships, or life as a physician, Jesse delivers an energetic and honest look into someone still not comfortable with getting older. He was a finalist at the 2021 ACME’s Funniest Person in Minneapolis competition and runner up at the 2025 House of Comedy funniest person contest. He has opened for Tom Thakkar, Mo Alexander and Steve Hofstetter and continues to perform at shows around the city.
When to see him: Nov 7 at The Plus in Eau Claire, WI
Todd Skoda, J.D.
Todd Skoda has a law degree, aka a Juris Doctorate aka a Doctor of Laws, and a decision he's never regretted—he never took the bar exam. Why spend years arguing in front of judges when he could spend them arguing with drunk hecklers for half the pay and all the creative freedom? He paid six figures to become almost a lawyer, then chose comedy instead. His parents still think he's about to take the bar. He's about to take the stage.

Dr. Jen Kuhle
Jen Kuhle is a clinical psychologist, which means she’s spent years learning why you’re screwed up—and even longer learning not to tell you directly. She has performed improv and stand-up across the United States. She also produces for Don’t Tell Comedy in Des Moines.

Dr. Gary Freitas
Gary Freitas is a licensed psychologist (Jesus, another one?) based in the Twin Cities. He has been practicing for over 20 years now…and is still not that good at it. But he’s got a mortgage and three hungry kids to feed, so schedule with him after the show!.

Nate Hood
Nate Hood is a Saint Paul dad, husband, and stand-up comedian. A finalist in House of Comedy’s Funniest Person with a Day Job in 2026, he’s also producer of the St. Paul Comedy All-Star Show. He’s not a real doctor but he is a big fan of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Outside of comedy, Nate serves as a local planning commissioner, which means you can blame him for whatever happened to your neighborhood.
When to see him: Nov 4 in Des Moines and Nov 7 in Eau Claire
Atul Patel
Atul Patel is a Minneapolis-based comic and former mechanical engineer who made the Dean's List every quarter and has an MBA. Much to the disappointment of his Indian parents, he did not want to become a medical doctor, (but he did work with PhDs in his last day job as a product manager). His clever observational humor explores life as a vegetarian Indian-American outsider in Minnesota. Look for his relaxed, wry delivery that captivates audiences with effortless, understated charm.

Alexa Kocinksi
Alexa Kocinski has several degrees, including at least one in Environmental Science and Policy and maybe one in Quantum Mechanics. She is a 2026 recipient of the Steve Hofstetter standup comedy grant. She’s also a decorated veteran of three foreign wars.
When to see her: Nov 6 at Jux in Mankato, MN
